your room is beautiful...every single detail is totally your style! I love that you've worked so hard to make that room so special for you and your husband...so many people decorate their whole house and forsake or neglect the room that probably matters the very most.

Have a wonderful weekend...looking forward to the details of each part of your room...

You really make me want to bring more white into my home - I've always been more of a cream person as in Wales we don't get a lot of sun so we have to warm up our neutrals ourselves, however I'm leaning more towards white..

  132. Hi Maria,

This is the first time I've visited your blog..just came across it. So glad I did. I'm still finishing my bedroom and a headboard is still lacking. I'm now convinced that more doors are in order.

I've used 4 doors to create a screen/divider of sorts at one end of my room to create a large walk in dressing area, more wardrobe storage and even my ironing board..it's perfect.

    You room is divine!

    Happy Day,

  147. Hi! What beautiful photos! I love the story of the tiles' origin in your other in-progress post. It's so cool that you're using reclaimed tiles from NH.

I have an 1892 colonial in Maine and we're VERY fortunate that the original tin ceilings in our LR, DR, and foyer have survived. When we purchased the house it had a lot of damage but the tin ceilings, moldings, and chandeliers gave me hope!
